Order Processing

All Items are handcrafted to order unless states otherwise. Please allow displayed lead time in  business days for production before your order ships. You will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information once your order leaves our shop.

Free Canadian Domestic Shipping

We ship to all provinces and territories within Canada for free. Applicable GST/HST/PST is calculated and charged at checkout based on your delivery address.

Shipping to the United States

We ship to customers in the United States via UPS and FedEx.

Duties, taxes, and import fees are the responsibility of the buyer. As of August 2025, the United States eliminated the "de minimis" exemption that previously allowed low-value shipments (under US$800) to enter duty-free. As a result, all shipments from Canada to the United States are now subject to U.S. customs duties, tariffs, and/or import fees, regardless of order value.

These charges are assessed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (or collected by the carrier on their behalf) at the time of import and are not included in the price of your order or your shipping cost. They are billed separately, either at the time of delivery or directly to you by the carrier.

By placing an order for delivery to the United States, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Bateman Labs Inc. ships on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU/DAP) basis and does not collect, prepay, or reimburse U.S. duties, tariffs, taxes, or brokerage fees on your behalf.
  • Any duties, tariffs, taxes, and associated brokerage or processing fees charged on your shipment are your sole responsibility as the buyer/importer of record.
  • These fees vary by carrier, product classification, and current U.S. trade policy, and are outside of our control and estimation. We are unable to predict or quote these charges in advance.
  • Refusal to pay duties or taxes resulting in a shipment being returned to us or abandoned will not entitle you to a refund of original shipping costs, and additional return shipping and/or restocking fees may apply.

We recommend contacting your local customs office or the carrier before ordering if you would like an estimate of anticipated charges for your shipment.

Shipping to Europe & International Orders

We are pleased to ship internationally, including to the European Union and United Kingdom, via UPS, DHL and FedEx.

VAT, customs duties, and import fees are the responsibility of the recipient. Under current EU rules, low-value shipments are no longer exempt from customs duty, and import VAT applies to all goods entering the EU regardless of order value.

By placing an order for delivery outside of Canada and the United States, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Bateman Labs Inc. ships on a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU/DAP) basis. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, prices displayed do not include destination-country VAT, customs duties, or import fees.
  • VAT, duties, and any associated carrier administration or clearance fees are charged by your local customs authority or courier upon import and are the sole responsibility of the recipient.
  • These charges vary by country, product classification, and local regulations, and are outside of our control and estimation.
  • Refusal to pay VAT or duties resulting in a shipment being returned to us or abandoned will not entitle you to a refund of original shipping costs, and additional return shipping and/or restocking fees may apply.

We recommend checking with your local customs authority for current VAT rates and thresholds before placing an order.

Lost, Damaged, or Delayed Shipments

Please contact us at support@batemanlabs.com if you have a concern regarding your shipped order. It is generally easiest for the receiver to get in touch with the courier and open an investigation first. Bateman Labs Inc. is not responsible for any lost, damaged or delayed shipments. We will work with our customers and couriers on an individual basis to solve any issues that may arise during the shipping process.
