Bateman Labs started as an idea between brothers.

One is a programmer and gamer who spends all day on computers. The other is a journeyman woodworker who can cut and shape wood into anything he can imagine.

They wanted a different kind of computer chair - something that fit in with the decor of their homes but would be comfortable to work or game in for hours at a time.
